YWCA County Wide Programs for Women, Children & Families
The YWCA serves families throughout the year, not just the holiday season. Our needs continue to grow as more families turn to agencies such as ours for assistance such as temporary/emergency housing, child abuse prevention, educational programs, interpreter services, youth development, etc. The YWCA strives to meet the needs of all our clients in an effort to sustain our mission - the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women.
Food items - turkey, ham, potatoes, mac & chese, bread, fresh fruit/vegetables, desserts, canned foods, cleaning products & paper products, personal toiletry items for men/women/children, diapers - for all ages, wipes, lotions, powder, baby food, baby clothes, children's books (all ages), sippy cups, diaper bags, photo albums, slippers (all ages-unisex), undergarments (all ages), bathrobes, pj's, girls hair bands, barrettes, combs, brushes, hair dryers, curling irons, manicure/ pedicure kits, purses, wallets, fanny packs, personal CD players, CDs, toys/games/puzzles/ activity books/movies/educational videos for all ages (non-violent), recipe books, kitchen utensils, small appliances, dishes, placemats, irons, ironing boards, linens, kitchen/bath towels, gift cards/certifcates for movies, gas, department stores, hair cuts, etc. Volunteer assistance with gift wrapping, holiday parties for the children, on-going art-n-crafts projects for the children, mentoring, homework assistance. Employment referrals for adults.
